This is a plate by Hirokane Yamashita.

Dimensions: Approx. 18.5 cm (diameter) x 2.5cm (height)

These pieces are created by Yamashita, a potter based in Saga Prefecture. They feature soft forms shaped primarily by hand. Combined with multi-layered colors and textures—achieved through repeated cycles of high-temperature firing and polishing—the pieces seem to breathe slowly, evoking the feeling of living creatures that exist in a world apart from our own.
