佐賀県で作陶する山下さんの作品達。
主に手捻りで作られる柔らかいカタチ。そこに何度も本焼きと研磨を繰り返し生み出される多層的な色味と質感が合わさり、ゆっくりと呼吸する、まるで自分達とは別の世界で生きているような生物のように感じます。

This is a carbonized *guinomi* (sake cup) by Hirokane Yamashita.

These pieces are created by Yamashita, a potter based in Saga Prefecture.
They feature soft forms shaped primarily by hand. Combined with multi-layered hues and textures achieved through repeated cycles of high-temperature firing and polishing, the vessels seem to breathe slowly—evoking the feeling of living creatures that exist in a world apart from our own.
